Customized Metalbeard
   | I bought Metalbeard's Duel a bit before seeing The LEGO Movie and after watching it I really liked the Metalbeard character so I decided to spruce mine up a little.
One of the modifications I made was adding extra chains on the side of the trunk with Metalbeard's organs. Also I replaced the four dark gray 1X1 cylinders used for cannon balls with 8 light gray ones. I added a gold key to Metalbeard's leg just as decoration. As another decoration I replaced gray shark with an older mold white shark. The only problem with this was the new mold had a could attach on a 2X2 plate where as the old shark could only attach to 1X2 pieces, but that was an easy fix. I just added a 1X2 over the 2X2 attached to the arm. My other change was in the sword I added a piece to make the handle longer as it was just to short to close the hand tightly over, but adding the length helped tremendously.   |
